I'm pregnant!

I know I have not updated in awhile, but I have a good reason. In order to keep my secret, I couldn't post much because everything that has been happening in my life has had to do with the fact that I'm pregnant! I am going to post the missing pictures in a series of blog posts but today is dedicated to my exciting news. Rene and I are expecting our first child on Nov. 6th. We have done test after test to make sure we will have a healthy baby! So far everything has turned out great. The baby has arms and legs, which as you know are very important! I have one more round of genetics testing but I have faith that everything will be okay! So my picture today is of my Facebook posts!

I love Sundays!

Sundays are a day of rest for me! Today I woke up and made breakfast, went to lunch and lounged around pretty much the entire day. I love Sundays a bunch, but I think Chloe loves them even more! The reason being: she doesn't have to kennel up all day, she gets to run until her heart is beating too fast, and when she gets tired she can come snuggle up with me. So my picture for today is dedicated to my one and only, Chloegirl :)

Race for the Cure

I'm starting with my photo for today and working backwards! Early this morning, I woke up and went and walked at the Race for the Cure. This is one of my things on my list and now I can check it off! Today was a perfect day for this race. It was a little windy, which helped make it not as hot. So my picture for today is of our race group!

My picture for yesterday, April 8th is of the hairdo I received. A parent of a child in my class last year offered to do my hair for a wedding I'm in. I told her how I wanted it and this is the end result!

My photo for Thursday the 7th is of the picture I made with my team. We went to painting with a twist and had the best time! I am so lucky to have these girls in my life-

My photo for the 6th is how much I had to pay for gas- RIDICULOUS!!!

And last and the tags i made for my blogs on tuesday, the 5th!!!

Book #3

I read Swim! Swim! To my class on Monday the 4th. This is one of the cutest books I've ever read. I know I have to read 25 books this year, and I've decided I'm including children's books. I have an obsession with them and they are some of my favorites! I highly recommend this book! It is so cute!

Our scars define us

So my picture for yesterday, March 3rd, is of the scar that is on my knee. I only ever notice or think about it when one of my kids ask me how I got it (even though I have told them the story 100 times) or when I'm laying out! Yesterday it was due to a day of laying out. I received this scar from my own plain clumsiness. I was trying to find something in my garage in the summer of 2009. I climbed over my car to grab something and in doing so I sliced my knee on my license plate. I didn't really feel it, I just saw the blood gushing out of my knee. I quickly wrapped it with a cloth and headed to Carenow. When I got there, I begin to panic. I explained to the nurse that I was leaving for Vegas in the morning and I'm planning on getting some major sun and that I really didn't want stiches because I knew that would cause me to not be able to go in the water. She apologized that I felt that way, but was probably going to need them. So I waited and waited until the doctor came to see me. After a tetanus shot he came to the conclusion that if I didn't get stitches then it probably would not leave a scar. I was pretty excited! But of course he was quite wrong. I now have a one inch scar that will never vanish from my once very scar-free legs. I admit it, I've always liked my legs. So now everytime I look at my scar, I think dangit. I should have just sucked it up and gotten the stitches. So I will always have my scar to show how graceful I am and I just thought it was a good story to tell! The moral is- just get the stitches!
